Rescued Bagels
Panera Bread associates happy to help.
  • Go to http://www.panerabread.com/cafes/find.php
  • Type in your area code.
  • Click 20 miles from that zip code.
  • E-Mail results of the search to John Williamson .
  • Await results from John to see if the food is being thrown away in any of those locations.
  • If the food is being thrown away, find a food bank in your area that will receive deliveries between 9:30PM and 10:30PM in the evening that is capable of handling perishable food items such as bread. The bread freezes very nicely.
  • Commit to the days you can pick up. Recruit 2 or 3 friends to take on all the time slots, and email the names to John and he will create a schedule of delivery for those locations. As you recruit volunteers, email John and he will add them to the schedule.
  • Your goal should be to serve once a month, but initially the pioneers will have to be the warriors to take on extra days until help arrives.

Don't wait, get started today!
